BASIC COURSE


The 12-week Basic Course, as designed by Hathayogi Nikam Guruji, teaches traditional yogic practices, including internal-cleansing techniques, asanas or postures, meditation, breathing, and relaxation methods detailed in ancient texts.

This course places special emphasis on the internal-cleansing techniques, the "Shauch-kriyas" or "Shat-Karmas", that are simple and practical for everyday life. They remove blockages in nostrils, throat, intestines, etc. and form an extremely important set of exercises in Yoga. Cleansing techniques are found to heal ailments like constipation, asthama, skin disorders, etc.

Asanas are one of the eight limbs of yoga, involving steady and prolonged holding in specific postures. They help eliminate inertia and lethargy, making the body lighter, more flexible, and energetic. Each posture targets different organs, improving their function and efficiency.
